Brief Bio (background, academic qualifications): Pharm. (Mrs.) Olayemi U. I. Joined the Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, O. A. U. on the 24th of June, 2014. She obtained her B. Pharm. and M. Sc. (Pharmacognosy) degrees in 2008 and 2016 respectively from the Obafemi Awolowo University. The research work of her M. Sc. Programme titled, “Siculine Syrup®, a herbal medicine for the management of Sickle Cell Disease” has been patented by the Trademark, Patents and Designs Office, Federal Ministry of Tourism, Abuja. She is presently on her Ph.D programme in the Obafemi Awolowo University, studying Nigerian ethno-medicinal plants for mental disorders and their interaction with monoamine oxidase enzyme.
